I visited Strassbourg in 2008 during a school trip. We won a trip to Strassbourg to visit one of the buildings of the European Parliament. In my opinion, Strassbourg is one of those cities where modern buildings beautifully compliments the traditional one in the old city center.

What to see?
Pont de l’Europe (the bridge of Europe)
If you visit Strassbourg you must walk through the bridge that connects France to Germany. This bridge crosses over the river Rheine, connecting Strassbourg to the german city Kehl.
Since both countries are in the European Union, you can simply cross it, without any border control, and I believe that this is a unique experience that you have to cross off your bucket list!

The old city center
When you walk through the old city center of Strassbourg, you feel like you are part of a Disney movie which take splace in medieval times.
The buildings, river and beautiful flowers create an astonishing picture all around the old city center.
European Parliament

Visiting the building of the European Parliament in Strassbourg, was one of the most memorable experiences in my life. I had the opportunity to not only visit the building, but to also sit in the seat of a parliamentary for one whole day and practice the activities they do. This was part of a prize my school won, so probably most of you won't get this chance.
You can find more information on how can you visit the building of the european Parliament in Strassbourg here.
